CIRCUS ALIVE!

Circus Alive is a walkabout involving eight characters who parade through the streets of the town culminating in a dynamic and colourful circus ring performance bringing together the skills and specialities of members of the troupe.

Duration:
This new Malabaracirco production is divided into two parts: the first part follows a walkabout format lasting approximately 30 minutes. The second part consists of a “circus ring” performance of 20 minutes making a total of a 50 minute show.

Script:
At last Circus Alive! arrives in your city after a long eventful journey up and down the highways and byways and in and out of town squares and market places bringing delight and surprise wherever they go. The infamous, astute Don Bartolo Bidón (10 foot stiltwalker) Ringmaster and the troupe’s manager and mentor. He has made his dream come true by bringing together this strange assortment of circus artists from all corners of the planet.

Technical Conditions:
This show can be performed in the streets and squares of any town on a flagstone or tarmac surface. If the route of the walkabout parade is through streets normally frequented by traffic then a temporary closure of these streets is required. In the case of pedestrian thoroughfares the presence of people in the streets doesn’t present a problem. The route is flexible and is adapted to the needs and conditions of each place. No mains electricity is needed for the parade seeing as a battery amplifier on a tricycle-cart provides the music.
For the circus ring performance a stage space of 6 x 6 metres minimum is needed. Also, access to mains electricity for the p.a. system, a place in which to change and prepare the material for the show, are basic needs.
