- PHYSICAL THEATRE

C.1. – Clown Course
This course takes an intensive 16-30
hour format.
We aim to create an atmosphere in which each participant
and the group as a whole feel free to discover and explore
the comical and ridiculous side of their character.
The activities and exercises start a process of searching,
finding and coming to terms with the clown within us
all.
We also look at how each clown relates to others, how
he or she reacts to authority, how they affront and
deal with situations beyond their control and how they
collaborate and use their ingenuity to find solutions.
Vulnerability, failure, innocence and spontaneity are
aspects we work with in this search.

C.2. –
The Actor in Movement: Creation of Dramatic Spaces and
Dynamic Characters
This 16-20 hour course can be adapted to an intensive
format or spread out over a term in 2-hour a week sessions.
The point of reference and protagonist of this course
is our body and it’s movements. Using this base
we guide the participants in their creation of dramatic
spaces and scenarios where the actor can play. We explore
how the way we move can suggest and conjure up personalities
and characteristics which form the basis of character
creation
.
